DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 

Uses hand tools, power tools and the required fixtures to build sub and top level assemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and travelers. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May require 0-2 years of experience in the field, or within a related area. Relies on instruction from other trained staff and or pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not require exercising independent judgement.

  • Must demonstrate an understanding, and adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to properly log in, and out of the companies ERP system.
  • Must have good work habits and ability to get to work on time.
  • Must be able to work with co-workers.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and proper manner.
  • Must have the ability to assemble basic sub-assemblies under direct to moderate supervision, in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the assembly documentation.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to disassemble, assemble, and function check all weapons systems under direct to moderate supervision.
  • Must have the ability to conduct the final assembly, and initial pre-fire inspection of the weapons systems under direct to moderate supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Reports all non-conforming parts and assemblies to immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


This job operates in a professional, machining, warehouse, and indoor and outdoor shooting range. The use of safety glasses and hearing protection are required in specific areas of the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in support of the job requirements.

REASONING ABILITY


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • 0-2 years related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS


Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.

TRAVEL


Travel is primarily local although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK


This is a full-time position 6:00-4:30. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, or as needed.
