CNC MACHINISTS

CNC Machinists primarily machine parts and prototypes used in manufacturing weapons systems for use by the U.S. government and U.S. approved foreign militaries.

They must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, and be a leader and role model for our manufacturing personnel. They will be hands-on, with technical knowledge of CNC turning centers, lathes and milling equipment. Required experience is 2 to 4 years.

Positions may be available for day and/or night shift. Please specify in the application which time you would most prefer in section “POSITION(S) APPLYING FOR”.

 


 

Requirements Include:

  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Ability to operate conventional, numerical control (NC), mills and/or lathes to fabricate metal parts and tools
  • Ability to determine sequences of operations
  • Two years’ minimum experience as a CNC operator
  • Knowledge of tool, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures and tool room best practices
  • Experience running conventional mills, lathes and grinders
  • Excellent knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading and dimensioning
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain a clean, orderly work area

ASSEMBLY

Assemblers build complete units from fabricated parts. They test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. They use hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. They identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair them as necessary. They rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform their job functions. They work under the supervision of the Production Manager. The position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

 


 

Requirements Include:

  • Ability to perform assembly work on sub- and final assemblies according to drawings and written procedures
  • Ability to follow schedules based on current orders and work in progress
  • Ability to work with basic hand tools and some machine shop power tools
  • Ability to ensure that work in progress moves through the production cycle, quality assurance and shipping
  • Ability to work with production employees and quality assurance to identify and resolve production problems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain a clean, orderly work area

ADMINISTRATION

Administrative personnel hold positions in General Administration, Accounting, Assembly Manager, Buyer, Manufaturing Manager, Marketing, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineer, Sales, and Shipping & Receiving.
